History

Lan-Ø-Lay was started as a lame hobbyist website in April 1998. The major purpose for developing this tiny burmese poetry site is to rehash my stressful mind when I feel so down and miserable. It was hosted initially on yoyo, then moved to 8m.com in 1999. As the volume of data grew bigger, it needed an account with larger storage. Eventually in 2000 it was transferred here to 50megs.com. Currently it is archiving more than 250 burmese poems. This dream project of mine is still a hobbyist site running mainly on free web hosting accounts and utilising only free services and scripts from the web. It approached to ver 3.0b in Oct 2001. It obtained its own domain name : http://lanolay.net in Nov 2001. It has a redirector - http://lanolay.endofinternet.org as well. Lanolay was archiving 450 poems, 38 short stories, 8 novellas, 14 articles and 10 essays by the first month of January, 2004.
